Want to play celebrity dress-up games? Start with your daughter. She’s always a princess; she’s your little girl. And she knows it.
Sure, occasionally she’ll refuse to take her bath or brush her teeth. But what little girl doesn’t? And yes, maybe she’ll share her ice cream with the dog no matter how often you tell her that’s not particularly hygienic. But it could be worse.
She doesn’t always think before she speaks. Sometimes she misbehaves, much to your embarrassment. But it could be worse.
And sure, later there’ll be arguments about too much makeup, or how old she has to be before she gets her ears pierced. She’ll cry and pout, and call you names. But it could be worse.
And maybe you’re already dreading the day she starts driving. You’ve seen what she does with her two-wheeler; who knows what she’ll do with your car? But it could STILL be worse.
And all she needs to do is remind you how much worse it could be. It could be worse. I could be Paris.
And you’ll look at each other and breathe a sigh of relief, as you realize she’s still your little girl. And at least she’s not Paris.
