"Hi, is that the help desk? Umm, my computer just stopped working..."

"Okay, can you tell me what happened?"

"Nothing... well, I mean, I did a little maintenance..."

"Maintenance?"

"Yeah, see, my computer was getting SO full…you know, the C thingy?"

"C drive?"

"Yes, that one! So I was poking around and I found I had almost nothing on my D thingy... so, I decided to do a little relocation! And organization, too."

"Uh-huh... like how?"

"Well I found there were ALL these files called something dot DLL..."

"?"

"...So I put them all into their own folder on the D. It’s called DLL. I think that makes more sense. I mean they were ALL over the place."

"...!"

"And then I did the same with everything called something dot EXE. Well, obviously they’re in the EXE folder on the D. And, umm, I think that was it. You wouldn’t BELIEVE how many of them there were. And they were just in ALL these different directories all over the place on the C."

"!!"

"So what do you think is wrong?"

"I think it’s PEBKAC, sir."

"Ooh, that sounds serious... is that bad?"

"Yes. Yes it is."
